As Microsoft announces the availability of Windows 11 in Malaysia, new PCs are coming in with Windows 11 pre-installed. Malaysians can also upgrade their existing Windows 10 PCs to the new software update.
The new Surface lineup will be shipping with Windows 11, but the first Windows 11 laptop to arrive in Malaysia is actually the HONOR MagicBook V 14.
You should also expect your new PCs to come pre-installed with Windows 11, but if it isn’t, the existing Windows 10 devices will also be eligible for a free upgrade through local retailers or Windows.com
To find out whether your PC is eligible for the free upgrade, you can use the PC Health Check app which can be installed here.
What to expect from Windows 11
Windows 11 will be featuring a brand-new Start Menu with updated search bar and a new recommended section.
You’ll also get a new split-screen feature called Snap; Snap layouts comes in different sizes to cater for different screen sizes and different apps while Snap groups gathers your apps together so you can minimise and relaunch them anytime you like.
Another exciting feature to look out for is Android apps; apps like Netflix, TikTok, Disney+ and more will be available on your Windows PC, but these apps are only available on Amazon Appstore so you’ll need to have an Amazon account.
